The Invisible River
October 11, 2012
Currently on at the Jagriti Theatre, Bangalore.
‘The Invisible River’ by Gautam Raja is currently enjoying a very successful run at Jagriti in Bangalore. It was originally developed as part of ‘Imagining the Future - India’ and was part of the ‘Theatrescience India’ Season in London.
“The play was originally developed with Theatrescience UK and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly a science story became a political story, a religious story, and a human story. The Invisible River is about a cold, wet, puzzled little boy by the Ganga, wondering why he has to bathe there when they have a perfectly serviceable bathroom back home. The play begins and ends at this point, and is ultimately about how this little boy had all the answers, just that he had to live most of his life to realise it.†- Gautam Raja, Bengaluru Time Out.
