The Vaidya’s Oath
New Theatrescience project in India.
We’ve now started work on a new project in association with Jagriti Theatre (the producer/venue) and the National Centre for Biological Science, Bangalore funded by The Wellcome Trust. The show and education project is about antibiotic resistance (AMR) in India. The play is being written by Gautam Raja.
The education project, with four Bangalore schools, started on October the 27th, 2015. At the time of writing (26/11/15), 18 workshops have been held developing short scripts on various aspects of AMR. These scripts will be performed by the students at Jagriti on the 27th and 28th of Jan, 2016. The play goes into rehearsal from the 1st of Feb and will be presented at Jagriti from the 10th to the 13th of March 2016. A blog about the project has been started at https://thevaidyasoath.wordpress.com/
